If the current political climate has taught us anything it’s that in the race to the bottom competition is fierce. DEAD and Wicked City have spent years touring together, sharing small spaces and often in heated debate over which band is the least popular.

As the older band one could argue that Wicked City have been unpopular the longest but conversely DEAD have eclipsed them as far as releases and sheer amount of shows. So there is an output to popularity ratio to be considered.

Come June 2017 the two bands will settle the debate once and for all. On “Unpopularity Contest” the bands take a side of vinyl each and give it their absolute best, to prove who is the absolute worst.

Wicked City have opted for the “Three deadest bangers’ approach – each track more than capable of radio play, providing final and conclusive proof that no-one will give them radio play. DEAD have delivered one long rumbler, unlikely to see any airwaves outside of the graveyard shifts, but it could backfire with a bit of cult status.
